Football

Football is a team sport played between two teams, typically consisting of 11 players each, on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The primary objective of the game is to score goals by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal. Players primarily use their feet to control, pass, and shoot the ball, although other parts of the body, excluding the arms and hands (except for goalkeepers), can also be used.

Football is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, maintained by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). The game is played at various levels, from amateur to professional, and is known by different names in various regions, such as soccer in the United States and Canada. Football is one of the most widely followed and played sports globally, with significant cultural and social influence, including major tournaments like the FIFA World Cup and various domestic leagues. The sport emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and skill, making it a dynamic and exciting activity for players and fans alike.
