Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two participants, wearing gloves and protective gear, engage in a contest of strength, speed, endurance, and strategy by throwing punches at each other. The bouts take place in a designated area known as the boxing ring. The objective is to score points by landing punches on the opponent or to achieve a knockout, which occurs when a fighter is unable to get up after being knocked down. Boxing is governed by a set of rules and regulations which define legal and illegal moves, scoring systems, and the roles of referees and judges. The sport is recognized for its physical intensity, requiring athletes to undergo rigorous training to develop their skills in technique, footwork, and conditioning. Boxing has a rich history and has evolved over centuries, becoming an organized sport with various styles and weight classes, and having a significant cultural impact worldwide.
