Fotbal

Fotbal is the term used in several European languages, including Romanian and Czech, to refer to the sport known as football (or soccer in some countries). It encompasses the organized sport played between two teams of eleven players each, where the primary objective is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end, and players primarily use their feet to control and propel the ball, though goalkeepers can use their hands within the penalty area. Fotbal is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by organizations such as FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). The sport is one of the most popular and widely followed globally, featuring professional leagues, international tournaments, and a passionate global fan base.
